Nationwide Series 2012 - 33 Homestead

A great finish to the series. We all put in a strong finish and managed to survive to the end. Well, Darrel died right at the end, but close enough. Race ran well for the start. Darrel and I stayed towards the front up through the first caution. Sandy got spun out but was alright. After that caution, we had a series of yellows, mostly for minor incidents. Darrel got cracked up under one of the cautions as he was avoiding ramming an opponent. I got penalized for missing pit entrance (which I didn't know was on the backstretch o_0) and was back in the field. More cautions and Chad was injured. However between him and Sandy they managed to lead a lap and get some crucial points. I was coming through the field when Sandy caused the pack to panic. I couldn't slow up in time and caused a major accident. I was hurt bad but stayed on the lead lap. Darrel was still alive after wrecking real good and almost all of us humans were towards the rear. But we worked up through the twenties and teens even making the race into an overall good race.

Great season, we all did well and managed to improve significantly. I'll follow up with information about the upcoming season. No races officially scheduled until after the Thanksgiving break. Good job.
