Nationwide Series 2012 - 18 Chicagoland

Whacky Racers R us.  Had a birthday restart after Darrel and I made some contact and then made a pyramid out of the rest of the field.  The next time by I tried to time the start with Darrel but we shouldn't have done that;  Darrel had to slow up to avoid passing me and some of the field went by, ultimately causing him issues.  As the first pit window hit there were only a few of us staying out til the end and benefited from an accident caused by a human.  Scot subsequently got caught up with a few racers and his day was done (and almost mine too!).  That yellow put me and maybe a few others in a prime position as we were about to  pit under green.  However, that also meant that 16th on back was down a lap and in front of Chad and me.  We pushed through the lap traffic at a harrowing pace and eventually there was another caution.  From there the field mostly cleared out and was set to normal.  That was the last yellow and we raced (and pitted one more time) until the checkered flag.  A birthday win!

Next race is Indy which was more wreckers than checkers last time
