Nationwide Series 2012 - 27 Kentucky

Well we started with some unfortunate technical difficulties with Hamachi resulting in a later start.  Practice seemed OK and then late in Happy Hour, Ventrillo was in-out-in-out-gone.  Our race was silent.  For me, when Vent started going out, my wheel got "weird"; my force feedback was halved resulting in a high-play steering wheel (extremely difficult to drive) and pedals that were ultra-sensitive, thus the first caution.  I was able to recalibrate the pedals while in the pits but the wheel remained screwed up with non of my button commands working.

Darrel had some woes early on by getting into the back of Tony Steward going into 3. After going into the pits, he was black flagged for passing on the inside and was unable to clear the first time through.  Once out and around, he got into the back of Stewart again and wrecked out with several others.  That crash caught me and Chad, me taking most of the damage.  Sandy was also slightly involved, though more so on the first lap crash.  For the time being he stayed in the back picking off slowly.

Scot had avoided all wrecks with swift skill and was doing awesome.  For no reason at all, his engine blew up.  Not fair in the least to be so fortunate and have that happen.  Chad, later on, fell to a similar fate though he had some minor damage prior.  He also mentioned something about having to come in while leading, though I don't recall if it was for damage, tires or something else.  Sandy and I managed to hang on for a 23rd, 24th finish.  Not exactly top ten, but I suppose it could be worse.  I may not be here for Dover next week (may be in New York).  Hopefully this time is better than last.
