No Odie or Lee tonight but the rest of us were in and ran both races without technical problems.
Race 1: Just a short 25 lapper and mostly under yellow, but a decent race. Here's a shot of Darrel taking a shot at some guys:
Race 2: Lots of good qualifying rounds (Chad was up to 8th!), though the field quickly shuffled as we went through the first series of cautions. The first yellow saw most of the field entering the pits. Now, because the last 9 pits stalls are shared, there was a bit of this happening:
Sandy would be the first big victim as he came up too fast on a turned Chad. Chad managed to carry on but it was game over for the Bear.
Darrel moved all over the field because of their stupid pit strategies, which brought him directly into hordes of traffic. Which bred more cautions.
But ultimately, it would get him damaged and down a lap. In an attempt to get his lap back (no thanks to my luckydog) he got black flagged and somehow DQed. Notice how disapproving the flagman is.
Chad, Scot and I would finish the race in decent spots. Chad mostly stayed out of trouble and Scot just reinforced his car with Titanium:
Seriously, that thing rolled twice and got beat up more than Don King. It should have been preparing it's last will and testament instead of trying to run laps. We are off next week but we'll be back after Thanksturkey. And there is a change to the track lineup. Due to technical complications with East Bay, we will instead be running Hamilton Dirt Complex 2012 (see email for track). Note that you will either want to be in front or have balls of steel because otherwise you can't see. I don't imagine anything going wrong on this track.
