Most of us started in the back except for me with a 4th. Not sure why I did that.
Sandy was the first up to bring out the yellow, and how.
Four laps in, he was starting to move up through traffic when he got caught on Josh Wise. All would have been fairly harmless body damage, except, Wise caught the very edge of the safer barrier.
The result was a catastrophic instance of Josh's car stopping completely and flinging Sandy high into the air.
Sandy, has left the state...
Further up the track, I got caught on Harvick diving down into turn 3 and we both got turned around.
As I sat perpendicular to the track, many of the cars going by were this close or closer at about 150mph. I held the brake until almost the pace car caught up to me.
Wasn't long after being back under green that I got mussed up with Stremme.
This one hurt me bad.
More laps later, Keselowski ran over McMurray.
Jamie Mac got tossed way low and came right back up into Greg Biffle...
...who backed up into the 34 who got turned.
We returned to green and did well for a while until Scot bombed a corner.
Which turned into a bad day for Kvapil and Newman.
And not long after he was at it again, although less his fault this time.
It didn't end quite as well for Scot but he did keep going.
Coming through the last ten laps, Chad was up in first where he was finally passed by a faster Stewart. Chad put up a fierce battle and held the field in check, right up to 4 to go. Then Hamlin managed to get a run inside.
Denny pushed Chad wide which got him out of position and into Jeff Burton coming out of the turn.
This brought out the final caution that would end the race. Sadly, Chad did not stay out, even though he had a broken car and a flat tire. He could have finished P7. Maybe next time.
Of course, what race would be complete without some last lap f*ckery by none other than Outlaw! Go get 'em!
Now we turn back to Pocono where we all had some very good runs through those dangerously fast three turns.
