Race 1:
Many a human at the front for a 75 lap race.
Due to Mark's VPN issues we got a late start which we thought was going to be a problem with cautions. Which would have helped Will as he got spun by the 36 about ten laps in.
But somehow yellows were turned off and Zack & I quickly caught up to him and Sandy.
Although it nearly ended for me as Sandy's engine blew out right in front of me before break points into turn 1.
I spun the 91 but it didn't matter too much because he was done regardless.
Zack was working to capitalize on my damaged ride when he body slammed the 2 into the outside wall.
Which helped Will out a bit.
With yellows off, there were several instances of collisions across the track. This was not my fault.
Scot was doing OK until he killed his right front tire.
And went for a ride.
We all had to have a stop and both Darrel and I almost had a situation.
Zack took advantage of the pit road shuffle and took the lead.
While I was charging to try and catch Zack, Darrel was sliding out of control.
And getting clobbered.
And suffering some extreme damage.
After several laps, I finally caught Zack to make the pass.
But Zack wasn't giving up easily, leaving a trail of debris in his wake.
Just when I was starting to gap Zack, I got caught in traffic, bouncing off the 11.
While coming back onto the racing surface, the 40 blasted my passenger side.
While Zack was speeding off with the lead and I was pulling my entrails back into the car, Scot was blowing his way through the field and eventually slamming into the 82 of Will. Not sure if he blew a tire or what.
But it pretty much did Will's car in.
Not that Scot fared much better.
With about a dozen laps to go, Zack got spun going into turn one.
And the abuse didn't stop.
When he finally stopped getting raped, I was there taking the position.
While Zack suffered a failing car and had to pit just to make it to the end, I held on to take the win.
Race 2:
Due to the late timing, only a handful of us stayed for the final race. We turned yellows on and turned up the damage to full.
Zack and I were doing it again causing trouble at the front.
Mark would have been up there but he was in...
...and out. Playing a dangerous game of Casper the suicidal ghost. After about two dozen laps, he finally lost his connection.
Sandy was at the back of the field and was struggling with his setup.
It wasn't long before he was lapped.
Zack was struggling with some of the competition and doing damage to his ride.
Will had a run in with Petty as they worked their way up through the field, bringing out the first yellow.
On the restart, Petty and Burns were too aggressive and I was out of position to keep them from coming by.
Will also continued to get caught up in overly aggressive restarting AI and Tow Mater was right there when he got loose.
Zack was filling in for Chad this evening in causing the most mayhem seen on track. It started with a tight car off the 2nd turn.
Followed by a spin across the field.
And topped with a bundle of opposition sliding in to block the track.
It wasn't long until the DNFs starting piling in.
He turned that field into a parking lot.
Under green and I was fighting to stay in 3rd.
Zack was fighting his setup and trying to stay alive in the top 20.
Coming to close out the 50 laps and Sandy was getting lapped. I was hoping he'd be a pic but ended up getting picked off in front of me.
While Rowdy and Lee fought, I managed to catch up.
But could only just steal 2nd.
We now move to Fireman's Park for a very tight and quick dirt track run.
