Race 1:
The Egg and Tnadz were on a tear, topping the the front row and quickly putting space between them and the field.
Hamilton unfortunately had frame rate issues again and dropped out.
Without yellows, Gut Slab was not showing any courtesy to fellow AI drivers.
Some of the incidents were passable as he had a head of steam and was trying to move up the order quickly.
However, his aggressive driving would eventually lead to a spin, coming to the tabletop. Sandy, who was struggling with wheel issues, didn't mind the position gains.
At the front, Egg was glued to the back of Tnadz's truck like he was straight from the Elmer's factory, boiling horses and cows.
But around lap 4 of 11, there was disaster as he tucked a bit too close to the inside apron of turn two. The spin would lose him five spots.
Slab inexplicably had a crash coming to the final corners only a few short laps into the race.
Coming to take the white flag, The Egg had worked back up to 3rd and was dueling with Willis when the two came together.
While they battled into the final few turns, Hawkins took advantage and snuck up the inside where he sent Egg off into the sand trap.
Same place on the last lap, he was fighting back when Hawkins tangled with him and the two went to the tires.
He managed to get going and passed a few others who were having incidents of their own but he would fall to outside of the top ten. A sad turn of events from a potential win in his grasp.
Without the hardboiled pressure of Egg behind him, Tnadz just had to keep it straight and narrow to take the win.
Race 2:
Race 2 started in similar fashion to Race 1 with the addition of Zack Webster in 3rd.
The trio quickly started to pull away with The Egg hounding the back of Tnadz.
Although that hounding nearly became excessive coming to the tabletop as he closed exceptionally fast and had to juke to avoid a collision into the back of Tnadz.
With only time lost and no damage, he fell into the clutches of Webster.
But within about five laps he was back up to Tnadz and giving him (and his own tires) hell.
Lap 9 of 21 and Tnadz came in somewhat early to avoid trying to pass the belabored 21 of Bear. Egg and Webster followed suit.
But it was disaster in the pits as Zack overshot and killed half of Egg's crew!
Not only could he not change his right side tires but he was stuck on the wall!
Fortunately, one of the surviving crew members managed to shove him back onto the pavement and The Egg and Tnadz had a drag race out of the pits.
But with only half his tires changed, he struggled to even keep up, not to mention he would have to try and make it to the end.
A little past half of the 21 laps, The Bear's steering woes were his undoing as he went off into the tires around turn two.
Despite his setbacks, The Egg struggled on, hoping to close with Tnadz and take advantage of an error. Although lap traffic wasn't making it easy.
And Tnadz nearly had a few of those moments.
With a handful of laps remaining, The Egg had to remedy his dying tires and came in, yielding 2nd to Webster.
Who would return the spot a couple laps later by running off into one.
Tnadz was able to conserve enough fuel to make it to the end and earn another win, bringing him within striking distance of the series lead. Despite Egg's setbacks, he too managed to gain some valuable points. And another rivalry between Webster and Bear has now started to heat up.
On to a return to Vegas.
