Race 1: Mr Norm's was a bit off tonight and it showed in the first race. 48 laps went by rather quickly for most as nearly all the AI were flung clear of the course and forced to pit road where they were effectively stuck. All humans finished at the very top of the grid. Plenty of swapping around for the top spots with The Egg taking the win.
Race 2: Like the first race, the second round went quickly, mostly owing to damage and half the laps. Darrel Hamilton inherited the lead and win later in the race after Zolecki and Webster had their own issues. Humans at the front again with Gut Slab and Zolecki biting the big one before the end.
Race 3: Attrition came on quickly with GB and Bear out of commission quickly. Tnadz was charging away early when a damaged Notre Dame swung into the pits and caused him great damage. It was too much to keep Webster at bay and he made it passed to eventually take the win.
The Egg was keeping Tnadz in his sights and was also contending with Hamilton at the end. On the final lap, he made a last second decision to ram the Georgia car of Darrel.
The two careened off the track to certain doom.
But out of nowhere, the 22 Bengals of Egg returned to the racing surface. The engine was out of order but he mustered on towards the line where he got a final push by his old friend, Slab.
The points accordianed again and Egg Sandywiches hold a tenuous lead over the remaining human teams. And while the AI held teams muddle about the back, the X Factor is never far away. It's still a hotly contested race at the front as things cool off for Thanksgiving break. But it will all heat right back up as we venture to Michigan Volcano in the first week of December.
