2021-1 NASCAR Cup Series - Round 11: Kansas

Race 1:

A smaller crowd for the famous 1.5 mile track.  Jamie crushed it in qualifying, leading the trio to the first wreck...

..which was him in turn 1.

Most of the race was Tnadz and Egg nose to tail until a Slab initiated wreck caught them both and it was down beyond points for both of them.  All humans failed to do well.

Race 2:

The second 14 lap sprint went better.  The start saw Egg with a mighty leap to first.

Jamie found his pothole again.

After trailing for all the race, Tnadz finally got a run in the final corners and it was door to door.

Then netcode sent Egg into the wall.

He still held on to second while Tnadz celebrated by knocking Slab into provisional land.

Race 3:

It would be a long 41 laps starting with Zolecki down the order thanks to a spinny qualy.

Back under green and it was Egg, Tnadz and Slab leading the way.

Slab would suffer a spin and GB barely got by.

The next caution was another Slab effort as the 27 was hooked to the wall when he squeezed the Slab ride.

Some pit strategy saw jockeying around and it was back to Tnadz hunting Egg.

But a wobble sent the 13 back behind Keselowski where he was brake checked to the back of oblivion.

Slab was hot in the mix for the next caution.

While racing back to the line, Brad gave Tnadz the spinella.  Tnadz then had a conversation with the right side of his car and all of his crew at once on pit lane.

But before that spin stopped, Austin Dillon smashed the piss out of the 13 for no reason.

Speaking of reasons, the 29 has a slight slide off the corner that quickly evolved into a spin.

This turned into a wreck that collected Sandy who was nearly up to first.

That turned into a pileup that the Egg barely avoided.

And then a galactic spiral of wreckage.

The heavens parted for Zolecki as he slung through the high side, quickly turning his race (temporarily) around.

The Busch's Beans car juts turned up in front of Tnadz backwards, adding more damage to his front end.

The restart made this pass temporary.

With only 5 or 6 left, the final knock from the 96 brought out the last caution.

And Egg kept his lead and the win.

On to Darlington where things will settle down.
