2021-1 NASCAR Cup Series - Round 20: Road America

Tires and fuel were the major concerns for the race as a smaller field took to the track at Elkhart.

Race 1:

A strong start from Tnadz and Zolecki for the first sprint race, both trading places for the first half of the race.

Egg and Slab had a less than stellar start and instead went bowling.

The two at the front both had an off going through the final corner, allowing some competitors by.

They got the positions back and Zolecki would end up with the win.

Race 2:

Instead of a Tnadz, it was Egg at the front, going door to door with Jamie.

The Bear was in the back picking his way through the junkyard that Slab created.

Egg and Jamie were back and forth for most of lap one...

...but easily gapped the field by the end for a 2nd win, leaving Tnadz and Egg to fight for 2nd.

Race 3:

Now all 3 of the fastards were at the front to start the last round.

And Slab caused his largest incident at the back, taking out about a dozen competitors.

Tnadz had been laying back but was quickly catching The Egg who was on flagging tires.

Tnadz eeked out an extra lap of fuel but was passed for the lead.

Egg had considerable difficulty with the tires and ended up crashing coming to pit road.

He then put on a smoke show while trying to limp back to the pits.

Jamie somehow cheated and added extra fuel to his car and took away the hat trick handily.

On to the most exciting track on the schedule: New Hampshire.
