Nationwide Series 2012 - 29 Lowes

Lowes was a mess as always.  But we were nowhere near our record of 35 DNFs; Only 15 were out.  I nabbed the pole which allowed me to stay out front for most of the race, but just barely:  The AI were very competitive throughout the pack.  Chad and Sandy rolled the dice and ended up 17th and 26th respectively while Darrel laid back for a Scot Start.  We had a restart and on the second go-round Sandy was spun before the green.  No harm done.  We actually ran up close to our fuel window before Sandy tangled with some Student Driver.  Things were fairly straight forward into our next caution where I believe Darrel got a black flag for speeding on pit road: A penalty he earned by being spun through the in field onto pit road.  There was some metal mashing under yellow and both Darrel and Chad were on the receiving end.  A couple more cautions came out for some sudden wrecks but fortunately the humans survived.  Coming to the end we had a few yellows right in a row that allowed me to top the order behind the pace car followed by Sandy, Chad, and Darrel all within the top 25.

Please note that Chad was not actually a lap down and that this was a computer glitch.  Probably the result of score keepers watching the post race demolition derby instead of tracking position.  Into the Final 4 we go starting with Kansas as our next venue.
