Dirt Devils and Pick 10 Highlights 2013
These two back-to-back series were fairly short so I decided to combine them into a single video. Some of the tracks (especially the "sans-caution" variety) were so ridiculous I only bothered grabbing one or two highlights of each. Here's a brief recap of the Sprint Car Dirt Devils Championship and the Pick 10 mini series. Look for the post with all the information regarding the upcoming season.

Pick10 - 19 & 20 Papyrus
We end the season with a big, fast, exciting track and two good races. Here's how the sun set on this entertaining series:
Race 1:
Three humans queuing at the front with Sandy taking his first pole in a while and earning every bit of it. He was handsomely rewarded when the simulator decided his crankshaft was broken before even thinking about turn 1. Typically we would move on as that is part of the racing experience, but in this case, it was just too much of a cheap move to let go so we restarted.
On the restart, Darrel and I got a strong start and pulled around Sandy and would run 1 and 2 up through the first corners. Sandy took the right hander too hot and got caught in traffic. After some mild bumping, he would get free but it would cost him a tire and he'd fall back to the tail end of the lead lap. Darrel and I ran at the front and were starting to gap the field fairly well. In an effort to save my tires I started cutting back...a little too suddenly for Darrel. We collided on the right hand turn 4 about 6-7 laps in. No major damage but our tires were a tad hotter and we lost some of our extensive lead. We came in to the pits and would have left together, but Darrel slid past his stop and had to back up. Meanwhile, Scot and Chad were working their way up the field and doing battle all over the place. They did a fairly good job of staying out of trouble considering their lack of experience on this rather unpredictable track. Scot would climb up to 13th while Chad would encounter an F-tard off of two which would do some damage to his positions dropping him to 27th. Sandy had an amazing come back and finished just ahead of Chad. I died somewhere around lap 12 after a minor scuffle with some idiotic lap traffic that would prove too much for my fuel line. Darrel took the checkers in first.
Race 2:
Me and Darrel, 1-2 with the remaining humans towards the back. Sandy spun and I think Scot was playing his usual strategy. Darrel got a good start and pulled to first for two laps. I'd swap by him on the front stretch after a strong run off of 6. We stayed this way all through the race. Darrel would have been closer but he skidded through his stop again, fixed damage, AND got 4 tires. Would have caught me by the end as I tangled with a lap car and lost ground, but it wasn't enough. Sandy would have yet another lack-luster finish after, once again, putting a strong run in thanks to a broken car. Chad improved significantly by moving up to 9th and Scot would make an incredible bid through the field as he rounded out 3rd for a 1-2-3 team finish.
And in points, it would be team Human to lock out the podium. Darrel made up for many unfortunate races that went well but seemed to crumble for simple reasons (usually AI) and landed a strong 3rd finish. Chad would prove too much to be caught with an astounding 2nd, his best points race of any series. And I won.
The next series will be the British World Touring Car Championship played through the BTCC mod I've already sent the link to the car files (and a list file). Be sure to copy these into your directory if you haven't already. I'll also send a copy of all the tracks as I found out some of you haven't been reading my emails *cough* Scot *cough*. I'll make that post this weekend with all the series information as well so you know what to expect.
