Pick10 - 15 & 16 Savannah 1970

A short flat track with plenty of close racing and excitement.  Savannah had plenty to offer coming into the penultimate race of the series.

Race 1:
Darrel Chad and I started at the head (1-3-6) and we had a good start breaking out into the top three early on.  I caught up to Chad and passed just before Scot brought out the yellow flag.  On the restart, Darrel overshot turn 1 hard and spun out.  That would put him towards the back.  Later he would get tangled with a stupid AI and spin around.  Unfortunately he was close enough to the front that when I came up on him and tried to avoid him, it didn't work out.  I bounced off the front and straight lodged into the end of the pit road. My day was done.  Darrel's was pretty much gone too.  But Chad benefited until he cheated and got a black flag.  Of course this was after the race ended so he actually won.

Race 2:
Chad and I were 4 and 2, moving to 2-1 by the first lap and staying there till the end.  Darrel caught some bad luck from our favorite 43 and somehow managed to lose all except for 2nd gear.  He still turned some competitive laps surprisingly enough.  Scot tore up the field and placed a respectable set of points with Sandy just shy of the top twenty.
