Twisted Metal 2017 - Bowl Two R4-6

Track two at Bowl Two.  While I thought this track might be a little tamer than Quarterslammer, it was not.  The perfect circle was just as bad for wrecking people and their dreams and has lead to a lead change in points.

Race 1:

The start was successful for humans as all but Bear began at the front.

And eventually had a 3 car breakaway.

Scot wasn't far behind but was caught in some mischief as traffic front and back caught him up.

We then all ended up right in a group that lasted all of a few laps.  Sandy had spent much of his time eyeing the field and trying to stay safe yet deadly (as noted by the Aggies).  Then Darrel, who was leading, got into Scot as they tried to work out positioning on the bottom.

Zack got knocked around a little which left Darrel and me up on top.  That is until Darrel got mixed into a wad of cars and I was caught in the aftermath.

Eventually Zack would work his way back up the order while Darrel was knocked lavishly around some more.

Several times in the run, the course exploded in absolute mayhem.  Zack actually cranked into a slow car down low and just barely saved.

He then swung by me and moved up more positions still into 4th just before the end.  I stayed content with a top 10 as my tires were toast.

As were Bear's.  He spent his final laps on pit road just getting fresh rubber.

While Darrel was down in 40th, not hardly getting to put in laps thanks to the trouble he got in.  Still not as bad as Scot who managed to die during a damage-free race from a broken piston.  That's up there with finishing 45th.

Race 2:

2nd race wasn't as good a qualifying time.  Scot lead the humans but around top 10.  The rest pretty much stayed in the back to avoid sure death in a Moderate damage race.

Zack and Sandy watched some spectacular destruction unfold before them.

I watched it pull right in front of my and fly onto pit road.

I was forced to pull further up the track and ended up bouncing around some wreckers.  Not really hurt but it did knock some pace off my times.

Scot took the lead after a short time and made out like a bandit.

Zack was working traffic when it worked against him and he ended up shooting towards the top of the track.

He kept it off the fence but scared Darrel as he barely avoided assured destruction while recovering.

After cruising around the worst the field had to offer, Sandy decided to start picking off rivals.  He killed my Giants and immediately set sights on my Cowboys.

But was denied and shunted towards the wall.

There he met his end.

Zack was forced to shoot up the track as he ventured too close to the line while struggling with his car and Pittsburg was right there.

His death was violent.

And he took others with him from various teams.

I had a top 15, Darrel held a nice top 10 and Scot took the win.  I think he's back in his element.

Race 3:

The final fight and damage was full.  Scot was again at the top of human order with the rest in the back.  Sadly, we had to restart at a much reduced lap count after the server crashed (my computer).  Which is too bad because it was a good race and Scot was about to make it two in a row.

These two morons wrecked each other before the green, slowing the rest of us down.

Much wrecking happened within the first lap.

Scot was one of the early retirees thanks to the Badgers wrecking a bunch of people.

And then there was a lot of quiet as few other accidents happened.  Sandy held up some leaders and Zack slung by low to take the lead.

He held on to win with much of his team up the order.  The rest of us finished about midway.

Mr. Norms is next with the first Wild Card.
