Pot Luck 17 - R35-36 Sebring

Perhaps the longest track of the series so far, the almost three and a half mile track proved to be a handful for many drivers real and artificial.

Race 1:

On the front row, Tnadz and Gurton Buster lead them off.

Turn one was a bit of a mess as Webster went in hot and collected the Cimed ride, sending him to the back.

Hamilton was in third at the start but slipped back a little while dealing with cold tires.  From there, he went to war with Atila and just held on.

And took his vengeance by running him wide on to the final stretch.

Slab was also working the field when he ran over Campos.

Campos came back across the track right where Webster was running, killing his car.

Myhr came up on this and slipped through without issue.

Hamilton had a similar issue after he tangled up with Nunes.

As Slab arrived at the incident, both cars went flying around the 61.

Who was later taken out by the 51 of Abreu who clearly didn't forget what was done to him.

Smith was making slow process but was struggling with the course.

Hamilton had fallen down the order and was now fighting with Mad Max in a good race through the final corner.

Then, Scot, thinking Darrel was an AI, sent him flying.  While he apologized, I didn't see him redress...hmmm.

Within the last few laps, Tnadz was going through lap traffic and anticipating his pit stop in a lap when Galid ran him into the inside wall.

That sent him into the tires and ended his race.

Of course, he didn't make it much further.

Hamilton was also able to find Nunes from the earlier incident and return the favor.

Slab may have also had a similar stroke of eye-4-eye but it caused severe engine damage.

And he then binned it...into Nunes of all people.

In the end, GB took an easy win without a single challenge.

Race 2:

Tnadz led the field thanks to his wreck in Race 1 and a good qualy effort.

Webster was a few spots back and tried to run the center but got knocked around.

Unfortunately, it didn't stop there.

 

And he got shunted by Abreu trying to rejoin.

And with hot gooey tires, he struggled to hold control while he tried to catch up.

He wasn't alone in first lap mishaps as Tuca Rocha and Hamilton got together.

Scot was taken out by Montiero as well.

Hamilton was taking a break at one point and watching the track from the grass.

Myhr took out his revenge on Ramos, although it was likely he was aiming for the orange 188 ahead of him.

Tnadz was running a good race but looped it going into turn one.

That allowed GB to catch up...wait, where is he?

Oh there he is.  Dealing with a rumpled connection, Buster was popping in and out as he looked for a way around the 13.  Much more distracting than flashing headlights.

Eventually he did get by and ran off with the lead.

Myhr cooked it through the turn two complex and really hurt his car.

And then kept hurting it.

Slab passed the field and moved up to a podium of 3rd, going for a fuel strategy and avoiding a pit stop.  It might work.

Despite being hit by Mad Max in Race 1, Hamilton helped him get revenge by taking out Montiero.

He later had a close call with Tnadz when he came flying up the inside.

Slab was on the last lap when he saw Myhr's car finally succumb to damage.  Would he have enough gas to make it?

Turns out he was just shy and it died slowly and then loudly on the back stretch.

GB takes yet another win and has narrowed the gap with Tnadz in points significantly.

Zack has selected Mosport for his final pick and the next round.  Two races with rolling starts.
