Pot Luck 17 - R31-33 Oulton Park "Fosters"

The series officially enters its last round of pics for players, even though Scot Myer still has another track...technically.  Because he wasn't going to be available for his pic (and neither was Gurton Buster) there was a shuffle and Tnadz had the next selection.  Outlon Park, Fosters configuration.  This is the second time the group has been on the BTCC circuit and it was a wild ride as always.  Three races at max damage for 18 laps each, standing starts galore.  BTCC style!

Race 1:

Nearly all humans started in the back although only Gurton Buster and Tnadz were required to.  Sandy Smith made a decent effort but only managed to get a few rows up.

This didn't work out so well as he blasted into the back of Bueno at Foster's corner.

The mess was mighty but GB and Tnadz were able to fit through a hole without much issue.

Darrel Hamilton was having a good time and not letting the competition get in his way as he worked through the field.

Tnadz and Buster were locked nose to tail through the early laps as they motored past rivals.

However, a wide approach at Druids caused him and Zonta to clobber the the wall at Warwick Bridge and gave Gurton a clear road to slip by and eventually capture the lead.

Down the order, Hamilton was making progress and was within the grasp of top 10 when he got loose off the curb down Cascades and spun through Fosters.

He continued to struggle with molten tires and was eventually helped along.

Like Sandy laps earlier, the mess gathered up several racers including Zack Webster who had also been moving up steadily.

Within a handful of laps to the end, Hamilton caught some oversteer out of Knickerbrook and hit edge on into the barrier, ending his race.

Tnadz struggled with a loose car, possibly from his hardware setup.  He found himself being taken out by the points leader, Max Wilson.

By the last lap, Tnadz had caught back to the 3rd spot and let no foul deed go unpunished.  Wilson would suffer for points this round.

With a mighty lead and little to stand in his way, GB took yet another victory over the field.

Race 2:

Mark Riggleman leads the field after a surprise return following a long hiatus.  He managed to pull a setup together and quickly got to pace to lead things off.

The rest of the field again was in the back where things were exciting early.

Gurton Buster almost pressed the advantage early following the Zonta-Tnadz excursion but backed out and allowed his fellow rival to continue on.  But would it cost him?

That duo linked up with Hamilton and the three were nose to tail through the field for a few exciting laps.

But Camilo gave the bumblebee car a whack coming up over Deer Leap and Hamilton was into the pit road wall.  Slowed but not damaged.

Tnadz had started to break away and tried to use traffic as a pic.  It somewhat worked as GB spun Campos up Clay Hill.

And got airborne coming up to the rise.

The wreck behind was impressive.

Some of the fallout though caused Darrel to slow at Water Tower going into Druids and he managed to catch on Monterio and went off track.

Gut Slab got revenge after showing some muscle heading past Warwick Bridge.

GB wasn't done yet and tossed Khodair like a salad.

Between traffic, finicky hardware and an aggressive Buster, the IKEA car got a launch up to Lodge corner and took the position.

A little earlier, Sandy's day was ended early as he was shuffled wide into Old Hall Corner and was blasted upon turn in by Foresti.  His day was over.

In the end, Riggleman kept it straight despite a fast charging Gurton Buster (by just 5 seconds) with Tnadz wrapping up the podium spots.

Race 3:

The last race of the night was a little different as Hamilton qualified well up the field.

With the night getting late, GB wasn't messing around and just started shoving cars out of the way.

Although, he did, once again, pull back before taking out Tnadz.

While GB and Tnadz were having fun making up spots, Khodair and Jimmenez along with others went hard into the wall out of Lodge.

The two humans took evasive maneuvers.

It was a close call for all as more and more drivers piled into the pile.

Buster got another run at Tnadz at Lodge a lap or so later.

They ran side by side down to Old Hill where Tnadz lost it on to The Avenue where he'd spend the rest of the race trying to catch up.

Mark was having a decent rise up the order when he got into Campos.

That stopped him fast enough that Tnadz got into him.

Even though he had no other human competition, GB continued with the hip checks.

He knocked Barrichello into the wall where another pile up started up again.

When humans came on to the scene, there was a small tower being formed.

Webster was the only one who had serious damage as Tnadz, Slab and Riggleman just barely escaped.

Buster wasn't completely out of the woods as he saw Gomes sent Casagrande into the pit wall.

And immediately, Max Wilson and Gomes took each other out.  Surprisingly, GB didn't cause any of it.

Tnadz came up on Hamilton and saw he was also not taking it from AI.

The two were running close and nearly had a moment with The Bear.

Riggleman was working his way through the field when he got slapped by Monteiro.

Slab got wrecked by Nunes in the same spot.

Hamilton was taking the GB approach and wasn't letting anything slow him down.

But he did lose it down in Fosters.

It looks like everyone had had enough Mr. Nice Guy driving.

Gut Slab was just trying to finish out the race when he was rear ended by Gomes.

And he was hit by Tuca Rocha.

And 3rd-8th were in a big wreck.  Tnadz managed to get righted and crawled back onto the podium for his 3rd third.

Riggleman was racing against Hamilton for 11th but couldn't quite pull off the pass in the end and The Bear took home a top 20.

Gurton Buster celebrated yet another victory in classic style.

As Scot's last pick comes into play, the crew heads off to GNC Carnival with classic Twisted Metal Rules!  Science!
