Pot Luck 2019: 5-6 Montreal

Some great racing in Canada between the two races.  Unfortunately, there were many tears shed dotted with a couple player victories.

Race 1:

The Egg held an early lead and managed to spend several laps at the front before Zolecki came through for a pass.  However, during the exchange, Tnadz managed to catch back up, making it a 3-way scramble.  But things came unglued quickly as JZ hopped the curb on the third chicane, sending him around, directly in front of the other two.  The Egg managed to straighten him out while Tnadz stole the lead.  After that, Jamie and Egg fell down the order from disintegrating tires and cars.  But they were joined by several of their rival drivers who managed decent races until various fates befell them.  By the end of 19 tortuous laps, Tnadz held on for the win while nearly all the other players dropped out from damage.

Race 2:

Race two was shortened to 12 laps because of the long run time of the first one.  The Egg and Zolecki fought at the front, keeping about a second gap for much of the race with Zack Webster not far back in 3rd.  Sadly, both Zack and Ross Smith would lose focus and wipe themselves from the charts.  The Egg was holding a solid lead when the battling pair came to lap Sandy Smith.  Catching him in the turn 1 complex caused The Egg to slide wide, giving Jamie the race.  He never could regain that time and Zolecki didn't make any catastrophic mistakes to give it back, taking the win.

While players made points, status in the standings was still stalled.  The crew packs up and heads to Road America for three sprint races and a chance to move up the order.
