Pot Luck 2019: 7-9 Road America

Hamilton's pick took the series to 3 sprints at the icon American roadcourse: Road America.

Race 1:

Zolecki ran into some bad luck as other racers forced him off track, giving him grave damage early on.

While he finished poorly, he did have a really great battle with The Bear right until the end.  Neither Sandy or Gut Slab had particularly good races either.

Hamilton had made his way up to the top ten when he got hit in the braking zone at turn one and spent eons getting free from the sand trap.

Tnadz had qualified near the front and mostly cruised.  But The Egg had a massive charge from the back, coming within seconds of taking it away.  Another lap and things could have been very interesting.

Race 2:

Nearly everyone started in the back except Zolecki, who took pole.  Tnadz bagged it early, right in front of The Egg who made a fast and strong drive to the front on the first lap.

Hamilton's second race was ruined by a brake zone as he was double punted into another sandtrap.

Aside from a very harrowing powerslide through the kink, Jaime mostly just cruised to a win with The Egg not far behind with yet another second place...after dropping a car on himself.  Just watch the highlights.

Race 3:

The final race was very thrilling.  Zolecki and Egg were practically tethered driving through the field when they caught Darrel just before the carousel.  The 61 had gone wide off the curbing and he had the slightest graze of side-to-side contact with Egg.

Going into the right hander, Ford Loaner had taken a bite of Hamilton's right rear which shuttled him off right into Zolecki and the two were bombing down the standings as they blew through the sand.

The Egg had a similar run to Race 1 as he cleared the field and was chasing down Smith like a hound on a fox.  On the last lap, he had closed to within about a second at the hard left of turn 5 when he locked them up and sailed wide, letting Ross run away with another win.  But The Egg did manage to score a Turkey of 2nd's, boosting his points substantially in the series.
