2022-1 V8 Supercars - Round 11: The Bend

Sadly no screenshots as the game crashed before the replay could be saved.  It was a wild ride though.  Egg and Zolecki took the start on the front row and dogged it out for the first few laps.  Behind, Webster swept by Smith to hold him back against the charging traffic.

Shortly into the race, JZ had an off and spun on the back stretch after clearing the triple right hander well.  After that, Jamie's race went straight down the hole as the AI chomped his legs away, eventually sending him to the hauler in pieces.  Another Bend race with the curse of Phillip Island.

Tnadz managed by Webster after an off and raced after The Egg.  The two were very close for several laps when Tnadz lost the car into T3.  Heading to the pits, Egg managed to eek out another lap but did lose some pace.  When coming out of the pits, he ended up just behind Tnadz.  The two were close and it looked like it was going to be a shootout to the end when Egg had an off at the penultimate corner, raking the tire wall and hurting his car enough to keep him back in 2nd to the end.

Despite a few close calls, Webster held on to fill out the podium.

The second endurance round goes to the street circuit of the Gold Coast.
