A truly amazing race. Very exciting the whole time. And good finishes barring Darrel as he was bulldozed up the track by Jeff Burton who, if you'll notice, has wrecked or been exceedingly aggressive towards at least one of us at every race. I think we'll have to corner him in a dark alley. Had to restart qualifying because I lost my wheel and Alt+Tabbed out to fix, thus killing the game. Nothing really changed other than I started 1st and Darrel on the outside instead of the other way around. Didn't really matter though because he blew by me going through one. The two of us paced for about 2 laps or so and then Darrel's tires started dropping off. I caught him but couldn't quite make the pass, though we ran side by side for a while. The slow up allowed Burton and Stewart to catch up and were basically trapped between me and Darrel. Then Burton decided Darrel was in his way and knocked him up the track. Not sure how Scot and Chad were doing at that point but they bore witness to the destruction that ensued. Cautions bred cautions and among the throng, I fell back, Scot and Chad caught up, though Chad eventually was demolished under caution by an over eager AI. By the end there were roughly 2 dozen cars left and I blew a restart. The last green run was pretty good.
Next race will be on Monday the 21st to avoid losing a race to the holidays. And Arizona should be interesting. Here's how we did here at Texas:
