Overall a great race. All humans in attendance made it to the end*. And we did fairly decent, everyone within the top 30. The fab 5 were all there. I would hope for a stronger showing next week but I am concerned because it's Sonoma. Yikes.

Start was good after a couple restarts. Sandy and I tried to keep leading the charge while Darrel faded to the back for the old sandbagger trick. Chad and Scot were already back there doing the same.

The offensive strategy didn't work as well as Sandy planned and he got spun by Biffle after Newman brake-checked him.

This caused the single largest wreck in the race taking out over a dozen cars.

A wreck of truly Chad proportions. He was impressed.

About a quarter of the way through and Darrel ended up spinning from a loose ride.

And again shortly there after.

About halfway through the race and I had gone down a lap, pitting under green. Coming back out, Jimmie Johnson thought of practicing his pitstop in turn 2 and I snapped into him.

McMurray was there to catch me and bounce me around the wall. Labonte also joined the Tnadz bash and wrecked the rear of my car. Fortunately for others, this was right at their pit window so it worked for everyone else.

Not long after, Chad brought another caution out by spinning Allmendinger. Like, really intentionally spinning him. No doubt.

And then Marcos Amrose not long after that.

Coming to take that caution flag, Darrel and I were battling traffic when he dove deep into three and drifted right up the track into Danica and Kurt Busch.

The final 9 laps and we were all gunning for position when Jimmie, once again, caused issues. I ended up getting loose, Darrel rocked Johnson around the wall in retaliation, and Scot spun Hamlin in the background for some reason.

Jimmie still had a bug up his butt and nearly took out Chad racing to the line.

At this point the race was over with most of us finishing well. *Scot however was a victim of some laggy connection behavior and ended up wrecking with Menard in a brilliant way. Though it wasn't really his fault, he didn't have to be bouncing off the side of Paul Menard's car the entire backstraight and turn 3. Just saying. He did receive 11th place points however.

Next week is sunny Sonoma where we hit our first road course of the series. Sadly, Chad will not join us for the track that he made a heavy charge on the last time we visited. On to the results.
