Nascar Sprint Cup Championship 2014 - 17 Kentucky

Yucky Kentucky didn't do much for any of us.  The usual suspects were in it tonight, both on the human and AI side.  Scot showed up fashionably in the nick of time.  We ran qualifying and I was DQed for some reason.  I'm told because I was on the apron but I swear I didn't drop a tire down there.  With that, Darrel moved to the pole, Sandy not far back and Chad mid pack.

I'll make a long story short: most of the wrecks were my doing.  Majority was spins avoiding brake checkers, or getting into said checkers.  There was a fairly large accident that came about from not humans, although it would cause the only casualty of the night.  Chad barreled hard into the side of Stremme coming to the line.  He tried to keep it low through the grass but just couldn't cut enough.

After that, everyone took on some damage at least.  I was beat up real good and only managed a low top 30.  Darrel cut a tire while spinning from Johnson and later Gilliland.  This put him down a lap but he earned the free pass and was back in it.  Sandy didn't do as well either but a respectable 28th.  Scot did the best placing 15th which will continue to help his average for make up points.

This race has now put Kenseth and me in a dead heat for 1st in points as we head to Daytona.  And what could possibly go wrong at Daytona?  This is the night race, by the by.
