Race 1
Because the AI can't qualify, we all started in the back.
Zack quickly began taking out humans, starting with The Bear
And then moving on to Darrel as they approached the turn one mayhem.
Darrel recovered but quickly found himself in trouble again.
He even had a close call with Bear.
Speaking of Bear, a short while later, Zack found him AGAIN!
Knocking him straight into an overturned Cowboys and into a big ball of cars.
A few+ laps into the race and it was me, Darrel and Zack working our way into the top 10.
And then Darrel's Bulldogs found him at the cross over.
So Scot took his place.
But then I went evasive trying to avoid the Steelers when they were knocked around after the intersection. Zack then took the top spot.
Sandy lodged himself into a catch fence after a broadside.
Darrel almost got slammed again after Zack was making his way through traffic.
About halfway through and I got blasted by the Gators and the Cardinals.
You would think they were a good team player, but the avian car, was not kind to his team leader.
Zack managed to go the entire length of the race without complications at the X and by running down his human cohorts. I managed a 3rd by allowing my Chiefs to pass on the last lap for second.
Race 2:
Damage on and laps from 30 to 20. This time, Zack hung back instead of crucifying humans.
The big one fails to disappoint again. I forgot damage was on and tucked low at high speed. I kept going, but I was not in good shape.
Almost immediately, Darrel got smashed by Hagerty's avatar.
Not completely dead at first, his car was Rick rolled and he was out on the quick fast.
Here we see Scot barely missing some flying debris.
But a lap later, he got creamed.
And almost came back across into Zack.
Shortly after, Sandy got bounced by his Raiders right into LSU.
They started to do the wall dance.
And as The Bear collected himself, Detroit happened.
And his rolling husk of a car gets right into the back end of Mad Max!
Scot got knocked up the track
And just missed the 22 of Ferguson.
Then the real crazyness happened. I finally met my destiny at the cross section.
And got hit again on my way out
And again.
By this point, my human companions wanted to join me.
Zack came flying in and bashed up Oakland good.
And then...
Chad. But as bad as this looks, Zack kept going. Also, Scot somehow drove around all this. Very unlike him...
Rob was running a steady race for a few laps when he was rocked by oncoming traffic.
Dead
Speaking of Zack, he nearly took himself out again sliding right into Oakland. Those two couldn't get enough of each other.
Unfortunately for Zack, his engine would let go about a lap or two later.
By this time, Scot was the only human left on track.
And then he wasn't.
A short disconnection caused him to get sent back to the pits while he was running 8th.
I gave him his laps back and he ended up finishing in 4th. Well played.
Actually, I lied. I was still on the track racing. At 2mph. Hey, I was still going.
Race 3:
The last round and Zack lead us to our dooms.
Terrible turn 2 was all clogged like normal. Sandy took the high road and I took the low road.
But Scot got taken out before us. Actually, it was both him and Rob getting clipped by roving AI.
Chad, Darrel and Zack made it through however.
Scot was heading to the pits for repairs and likely going to wait out some AI to kill themselves when the Bulldogs slammed the end of pit road.
He blasted them and was done.
Chad had a close call shortly there after.
Right in front of Zack.
But the next lap, he destroyed his teammate, the Cardinals.
Unlike in Race 1, this non-team order took them both out.
Further up the course, Rob was pacing along when my Chiefs took him for a spin.
A few laps later, Darrel came to the intersection...
...And almost managed to miss Rob and me.
But he grazed Rob's bumper and careened into pit road.
The abuse was too much for his crew to handle.
Rob, meanwhile slammed head on into the corner of the intersection. Not sure why.
But had it not been for LSU, he would have come right back across and taken me out.
Shortly before this, Zack and The Bear were working traffic when OSU got a chunk of Zack's bumper.
And they both got a chunk of the wall.
What eventually took him out was when The Bear found himself fused with another car and in the fence. Done.
I somehow found Zack's lucky potion and did not have any collisions in the X. I tried to hold up the Jets to let my Chiefs take 3rd or 2nd, but we ran out of laps. I had to settle for second.
We now go to Bowl Two which is a perfect circle. Talk about turning left. I've made new .lp files for this so the AI will behave drastically different. And due to some more whining, I've consented to hold the remainder of the series with Hardcore mode Off. This will definitely be returned to Visual, if not also for Driving Aids on the next series and beyond. Results!
