Pot Luck 17 - R3-4 Barber Motorsports Park

Tnadz selected the next venue for the series and chose two rounds at Barber!  Two road courses in a row.  Going with the traditional WTCC starting method of one rolling and one standing start, the field went to work under some rather warm conditions.  Oh and pit stops weren't mandatory here but if you didn't take one, you needed to conserve.  This was a popular repeat from the opener at Phillip Island.

Race 1:
This was a strange start as all non-AI starters were in the back.

The incursions started early but it was not any person's fault.

Eventually it was.

Gurton Buster was then very close to taking himself out early as he navigated some of the early chaos.

As he started to move up the order, Tnadz proceeded to push and join when Valerio cut him off and got sent flying.

Like a metal boomerang to a magnet, the 44 came slamming back into the 13.

Destroying his race early.

Gut Slab was also dancing with AI down through the dipper.

Webster was doing alright until he overdrove the penultimate corner and gauged the tirewall.

Buster was conserving fuel to make it without stopping and had some close calls.

He managed to pull out of them and keep on.

Slab continued to tangle with the number 4 pretty much in the same place at all times.

Bear was doing well and had a lapse in concentration, killing his car halfway through.

Slab recovered well enough and was turning some laps when Valerio got into him again for no real reason.

Coming to the last few laps, Buster saw his opportunity open up as most of the field went for fuel and tires.

Around the same time, Slab took his life at the same place as Webster.

After easily passing the last few cars, Gurton Buster sailed to an easy win.

Race 2:
An early wreck for Tnadz and Zack Webster allowed them to practice and earn a front row start in the second round.

Gurton Buster and others had to contend with the back where things were much dicier the second time around (and this was after a mulligan).

Gut Slab was back on the charge and taking no prisoners.

He got into Casagrande sending him into sand.

But he managed to out drive himself down the dipper.  That halfway point really seems to be giving him trouble.

Webster had a moment where he lost grip through the speedy back side of the course.

Unfortunately, this gave him some dire damage.  Not dead, but wounded and not as strong as he was.

He very shortly got into Caca Bueno in turn one.

With his ride's performance quickly dwindling, he got wrapped around Max Wilson and died in dramatic fashion.

Gut Slab again got into Casagrande and smoked his tires badly.

Even Gurton Buster wasn't taking any gruff from the unruly field.  Although at this point, he was turning on the afterburners and moving forward.

That contact might have thrown him off because he got into it with another driver.

He saved it from the wall but not Caca Bueno.

A hard hit to the tire wall wasn't making him any faster.

A lap later, contact with Tuka Rocha sent him into the wall for the last time.  The engine would let go just entering the pits.

Slab was still making mischief taking out Bueno.

But didn't see Suzuki sticking his nose up the inside.

He made an amazing save and came fighting back.

And did the exact same thing as in Race 1.

Unlike that first round, he came back across the track and ended in spectacular fashion.

With Gurton Buster out after making fast gains against him, Tnadz took an easy win for Race 2.

Next week, Webster has selected two rounds at Road America with a similar fuel setup.  Three road courses in a row.  Seems it's becoming an addiction.
