Pot Luck 2017

After a riveting and educational experience with the Australian Supercars, we now go on to a staple of the Tnadz Racing league:  The Pot Luck.  Drivers pick the tracks along with several options to customize the experience.  Anything from demolition wreckfests to ovals and road courses are possible.

Overview:
Series: Brazilian Stock Car Series - 2017 carset <-click to download mod and cars
Schedule: Wednesday Nights - Practice-7-8pm EST, Qualifying/Racing 8-9~9:30
AI: Full 31 car roster + humans - Strength varied for track and human levels (usually mean avg.)
Hardcore Mode: Off
Fixed Setup: Disabled
Success (Qualifying) Ballast: Yes (may be necessary at some [demolition] tracks regardless due to AI issues)

Personalized Options (see Rules below for additional information):
Damage: Off, Moderate or Realistic (may only be set to OFF on some demolition tracks)
Starts: Standing and Rolling
Yellows: On or Off
Weather: Realistic or Set
# of races: 1-3

NOTE: These settings will be determined per track by the chooser unless they are not conducive to racing (i.e. standing starts at ovals will be discouraged, demolition tracks will not have cautions, etc).

Points:
Points will vary depending on number of rounds per venue (1-3).

Rules:
- Tracks will be officially announced the week prior to their running.  Tracks are chosen by drivers who are active in the series or have signed up.  Order will start with highest placing driver from the previous series working downwards.  New members will be pooled after previous series drivers.  Drivers announce 1 track at a time.  If a driver is not present to announce their track, they may submit their track to me via email up to a week in advance but no later than the end of the race night a week before we would run their track.  Failure to do so will result in the next driver announcing their track for the following week.  Once all rostered drivers make their selection, the process will cycle back to the first driver and repeat.  As we make it towards the end of the series and a cycle is unlikely to finish, the driver with the fewest points will be allowed to make the next selection until the end of the series (up to X number of times).
- 1-3 rounds will be allowed per track, no repeats using the same layout (day/night variants not allowed, but alternate layouts are).  See points table for corresponding points.
- "Success Ballast" will be instituted by forcing drivers to skip qualifying if they placed 5th or higher in the previous round.
- A mulligan (restart) will be granted except at demolition tracks.  If a caution is waved before the leader completes the first lap, the race is restarted.  With cautions off, a mulligan will only be granted if a driver requests it, regardless of circumstances but only if requested before the leader completes first lap.  Technical issues will not count against mulligans
- All flags will be observed.  In cases of technical issues or special circumstances, black flags may be cleared.
- Respect track limits.  Taking advantage may result in penalties.
- Racing incidents do happen but deliberate contact (divebombing) is not allowed (except demolition tracks).  If you gain advantage by way of contact, you may be asked to redress (allow the car to pass).  This will apply to ALL competitors (AI and player).  Failure to do so could result in timed and/or points penalties.
- Race director decisions are final during the race.  Appeals may be made post-race for review
- Rules may be amended at any point during the season for purposes of competition (France/Jr rule).
- No whining.

Drop Races
- 10 races will be considered Drop Races: they will not count towards a driver's final score.  These will be automatically selected by Score4.  Missed races will be counted as Drop Races first via a provisional entry.  Note that doing poorly at a track that has 1 round vs 3 could have a more dramatic impact on score.

Penalties
- Misconduct will be considered case by case.
- Most incidents will be given a verbal warning where witnessed.  Severe or repeat infractions will result in timed penalties consistent with conduct.  Drivers may be asked to retire or be removed from the active race if conduct is persistently abusive.
- Extreme cases of misconduct on or off the track may result in point deductions or banning from the league.
