British Trucks 2018: 15-16 Texas

As they say, everything is bigger in Texas.  And that was very true...for the failure.  And several wrecks.  All caught by Eggland's Best Live Stream brought to you by Pudding Pops.

Race 1:
34 Laps were started with Tnadz forming the wedge with Webster and Buster.

Zack worked with his ride and struggled to stay out in front of the hungry back, barely avoiding tragedy.

Gut Slab and The Egg were precariously balanced on a knife edge running the outside line, 3-wide, in the center of the pack.

But it would be none of those drivers to bring out the first caution.  Hamilton was doing battle with Tressler and the two got too close.

He almost caught it but there were too many cars to help him keep spinning.

At the same tome, Slab was tapped by the Hooters truck.

The two were caught up in the bunch.

And it was messy.

On the restart, Webster got run over by Hawkins.

And others joined him.

Egg barely missed some of the trucks coming up the track.

Slab also barely squeaked by on the high side.

On the next restart, Buster was going to war with the other 8 of O' Regan.

But it was Tnadz who lost it as Hawkins got him aero-loose in three.

Astonishingly, he wasn't hit at all coming back down the track.

Almost getting the lead coming to the line, David O' tapped GB and sent him and Hawkins into the wall.

And it got ugly.

Coming back to reclaim his spot, he had a short driver's meeting with the opposite 8.

With several humans at the back, GB turned Turner.

And it nearly took out Sandy who'd managed to stay clean the whole race.

Getting close to the end, Gut Slab lost it on his own, bringing out another yellow.

Pushing to the end, Tnadz, Egg and Sandy were all pretty close to one another with Slab not far behind.

Coming to the end, Zack Webster was working hard to climb the order when he lost it off of two.

Slab gave Smythe a shove and nearly turned him into a harpoon for the 23.

Racing to the line, Sandy gave Cooper a hip check, sending him into the wall and grabbing more spots for a 17th: The highest placing human.

And it was chaos behind.

Race 2:
Gurton Buster lead off the 51 lap enduro race, taking Willis by the outside while Tnadz looked inside with Egg right behind.

After a lap of close door-to-door racing, GB made the pass while Tnadz backed out, avoiding a dangerous 3-wide scenario into turn one.

Egg was making some clutch moves just behind to reclaim his spot on the bottom.

He would drift back up and watch Tnadz make it 3-wide as he originally intended.

After getting behind Buster for a couple laps, the tail on the 8 suddenly stepped out.

He almost managed to stay up the track but physics (ha) pulled it down the slope and it was Turner, on a path of vengeance, slamming head on into the Strongbow ride, ending his night.

At about the same time, Egg got caught onto Willis and the two went up into the wall.

Coming back into the racing line, Pab was there to completely destroy the 34.

And yet more carnage graced the completely sold out circuit.

Even Darrel managed to get involved.

The next caution came from a fairly quiet Bear, taking out the 12 of Hornacek (who he's currently competing with in points).

Hamilton dove to the inside and only just barely missed the back end swinging like a mace.

After restarting, Tnadz, couldn't keep it on the bottom and Hawkins ran the freight train up the inside.

And it was nearly curtains as Collins made slight contact as they poured into turn one.

Sandy Smith was at it again and ran Hillseheim up the track.

The 3 barreled into the wall as it tends to and the pits were ready for their drivers to make their mandatory for fuel.

Tnadz pulled out a clutch pass and only just had the 98 at the line (actually it wasn't too close, this wasn't the line to beat).

The back half of the field was having some issues working out pit road entry and while Zack and Slab waited for them to untie their shoes, the 3 knocked the two humans into one another.

When things did get going again, the next caution flew fairly quickly as Willis ran over Franklin.

The crash collected more and they started climbing the wall and fence like a hungry Tony Stewart after a win.

The Bear managed to throw the anchors and get slowed enough to keep from entangling with the remnants.

On the restart, Tnadz didn't get a great jump and Casula was there to knock him high and dry.

After about 10 laps or so, he was able to hook up and make it back to the lead, hoping to have a straight run to the finish with a widening gap.

It was not to be as with about a dozen laps left, Webster nudged the back of Stevens in the 4 and turned it down the front stretch into the end of the pit wall.

With a shaky lead and only a handful of laps to seal the victory, Tnadz somehow spun his tires and without incident or a yellow, gently swept into the infield.

Not wanting to finish without incident, The Bear tipped Caldas and also collected the 7 with Thiele ready to jump in.

The gaggle blundered around as Webster lost it again off of turn three.

Another finish under caution and The Bear was again the highest finisher, just shy of a top 10.

A break for a week and then it's on to the short track fun of Iowa.  Webster and GB are absolutely thrilled to reignite the rivalry of the low banked, back woods mid-west track.
