Race 1:
The first race of 27 laps started off with Riggleman Jr back in top form and leading the way. Tnadz and The Egg were close behind.
Collins, Rogers Jones and Dixon tried making it 4-wide off turn two and brought out the first caution.
Several trucks were involved.
Gut Slab was looking to make a few quick and easy passes when Lee Rogers came down the track right in front of him.
Hamilton was a little better off and moved from the back into the twenties.
On the restart, The Egg took advantage of a run and swung by Tnadz for second.
He carried that momentum forward and made a pass on Riggleman for the lead.
The trio then started to pull away from the pack, haranguing each other the whole time.
Things looked dicey as lap traffic became a factor but they made it by without issue.
The next lap, with 5 to go, Tnadz mysteriously lost the back end off the apron on the front stretch.
Another decent sized wreck happened with several trucks involved and the donut ride wouldn't see the finish.
It would see the side of Webster's truck.
That hit knocked him around and put the 23 at the mercy of several other contacts that did little to help his performance.
On the restart, it was a green white checkered and The Egg was on point to try and launch down the inside of Riggleman. Mark wasn't letting him get a run and chased him down the track.
But his efforts weren't enough to unseat the Tide ride and again Eggland's Best had to be second best. Hamilton, Smith and Webster managed to pull out some decent finishes within the top twenty and fifteen.
Race 2:
Doubled laps to 54 on the second race and it was Tnadz who took the pole with Webster not far behind. Riggleman was late to the party and was only able to start down in the top ten.
But that wouldn't hold him back as he blasted his way to third.
Like Race 1, a crash in the first lap brought out the caution. Slab caught the wall and went around, towing back to the pits for some Slab Time™.
Back under green, the battle pack at the front was going at it again.
Webster and Riggleman wanted to try and make some moves but were concerned due to a temporary drop in internet connection that made any attempt a tempt of fate.
This also caused Riggleman to have a close call as he tagged the wall, forcing him defensive against the fast approaching AI.
Tnadz had a massive push up the track in turn one where he had to let off and that opened the door for the 26 and 23 to take advantage.
As he fought back against Webster to hold the lead, Hawkins stuck his nose down the inside, forcing Webster up and into Tnadz who was unaware of the 3-wide situation.
Tnadz slid up the track and stuck to the wall with little damage but between the contact and an unsettled truck, Webster lost the back end.
He hit the wall and Riggleman was there to bounce off of him and into traffic.
The chain reaction was started and it was all going off at the front of the field.
Both Riggleman and Webster suffered some good hits but kept it going.
It was too early for the pit window but everyone was in anyway.
Most of the humans would be at the back, dealing with damage.
Back under green and Webster would lose the back end again as the goobered truck couldn't handle the draft.
Tnadz lost his as well in reaction and the next caution was out.
With twenty to go, Slab was back on the track.
But he very quickly had issues with the 20 truck as they tangled up into the wall.
From there, he was railed by the 97.
On the restart, Tnadz and The Bear were going to gamble with the gas as they started off 1 and 2.
But shades of previous races came to pass as he lost it off of turn two with cold tires.
There would have been no caution until Slab and Dixon got together.
The next green wouldn't last too long as Webster lost his back end again, as his love for Las Vegas grew.
Closing in on the end, Tnadz was holding the lead but Riggleman was clawing his way back up the order, looking at some lap traffic and the top 5.
The Bear would continue to struggle with a loose condition.
But it would be The Egg with help from Maksajda who would bring out the next yellow.
Running past the yellow, Mark got into the Kmart truck.
The two bounced off the wall right in front of the field.
The 26 would have been fine until O' Regan slammed into the back of him. He was hurt but still running.
With four laps to go, Tnadz got a launch on the field and was trying to get a win as fast as possible.
Riggleman was running slow which held up several drivers, except for Stevens.
But the bottleneck couldn't hold and Mark popped like a cork, bringing out the final caution of the race.
At the front, Tnadz and Stevens had just barely crossed the line before the caution came out so it was a drag race to the end.
Off of turn three, Tnadz was trying to keep low to block a pass there but Stevens got a good drive off the high line.
Tnadz kept the pressure on and forced him up the track when the two made contact.
As they slide out, the 4 touched the wall and bounced into the air as the back end caught the safer barrier.
He came back into Tnadz and the two were crashing.
Coming to the line, Tnadz was closing the gap but who would get the lead and ultimately the win?
From above, it looked like Stevens might of had an inch on the Krispy Kreme truck.
However, in what will likely be labeled as an extremely controversial call, the NASCAR gods gave the win to Tnadz.
Next week will feature the final off week for the series but will return afterwards for Talladega.
