Race 1:
Several humans were positioned at the front setting up for a good start.
With only 19 laps to make it work, they wasted no time clearing the front row and pushing. Tnadz grabbed the lead early with Buster pushing. Egg headed the outside line with Slab in tow.
Hamilton hooked up with Webster and they secured the lower line and the lead.
Egg was shuffled to the high side and strung out. He even made some wall contact, felling him down further.
Things kicked off near mid way when Gurton was avoiding contact with Scholz and was turned by Hill.
Badly damaged, he and Egg nearly came together in the aftermath.
Under caution, Egg had contact with Tompkins.
That ejected him into the wall.
And it spiraled out of control from there.
GB was caught with nowhere to go and both were out.
Under green, Zack and Darrel continued to lead the charge.
Slab was making progress on the middle line and looked a threat.
But with inadequate help, he couldn't make it work and slipped back.
With only a few laps left, Tnadz started working up the field.
Just behind, Gut Slab got into the 3.
Tnadz and Slab both just missed the fray.
Although in the trioval, Tompkins chunked into Tnadz.
He barely avoided contact with several trucks.
While getting going to salvage points positions, he was slammed by Hawkins. He'd stay in the top 20 until his fuel line broke and he'd surrender positions to fix it under caution.
The Bear was looking at a chance to collect on a bunch of spots after lagging behind from early damage.
Up ahead, Hunter slammed directly into the 98...
...sending him right back into incoming trucks. Smith would still get a top 20 but only barely.
At the front, Darrel didn't want to risk his best finish and settled for pushing Webster to victory at his home track.
Race 2:
After a server crash, the second race was reduced to 29 laps but a fuel stop would still be necessary. And they didn't wait to make it four-wide.
They were still that way through one and Webster wasn't able to clear them high.
On the backstretch Tnadz closed quickly with GB and swung low to avoid contact.
Carrying the momentum, he took the lead and hung the 8 out in the middle line.
But /strongbow tucked down and both he and The Egg moved up.
Slab had a close call with Tressler in the back but saved it.
Further up, Egg was tapped by Hillsehiem.
Coming up the track, he nearly collected Buster.
Just behind, Slab slammed Collins as they checked up.
While mileage would be short, everyone was in.
Tnadz and Buster had a close call trying to get off pit road.
A lap later, Tnadz was back in.
Back under green, Buster lead the way.
Lap 7 and Tworz gave Hamilton the boot.
Several others were involved.
The Egg barely skirted by on the apron.
Tnadz was clear until NR physics allowed Tworz to bounce-swivel into his quarter panel. He hit the pits again and topped off.
More stops for the rest of the field which helped Webster pull in behind GB on the restart.
Egg was bouncing up and down the order when first green flag stops took place at halfway.
Eventually he cut to thefront as the field caught a flagging Hamilton.
More laps into the window and the pits got busy.
Around ten or so to go and the leaders started to pull away from Egg as lap traffic became a factor.
And they too came in.
Egg and Smith were in a couple after that.
And with 6 to go, Tnadz dropped in for a very short stop. Would the overcut work out?
On the track, the top three briefly rejoined but would start to break away from Egg again.
With a few left, Hamilton got bumped by Stevens in the same way he was hit by Tworz.
With less than a lap to race, Webster moved low and Buster went to block.
They sparred around lap traffic and Webster had the low line.
But a slow Hunter cut off his advance into the corner.
Yielding the win to GB.
Egg gave up 3rd to Tnadz in an effort to save fuel. But he saved to much and fell to 6th.
Fortunately a Slab came to help.
It's David and Goliath as the series goes from Talladega to Martinsville where racing is slow and civilized.
