Updated to allow the AI to jump like humans, Dover got a massively aggressive overhaul and the racing was fast and frantic.
Race 1:
The Bear finished furthest back of the humans, just missing out on a points position. Not far ahead of him, Gurton Buster also had a lackluster performance, only scoring in the high 20s. Hamilton managed to make a go run up to 12th with his team banking good points as well. Gut Slab also had a good finish just inside the top ten. The big highlight was Tnadz lapping the field and pinching out a win ahead of The Egg who had a good race but couldn't catch the indomitable Cowboys ride.
Race 2:
From 30 to 20 laps and damage now a major game changer, the humans managed to make some headway. Gut Slab lost ground by taking a 20th after suffering some nasty damage early. Hamilton was up to 6th but just died on the last lap. The Bear made big gains and crushed out a 5th place. The Egg and Tnadz had an excellent game of cat and mouse through the closing laps with Tnadz sneaking a pass over the backstretch jump and stealing second. But it was Butser at the front for another win, giving him much needed points to get back in the championship fight.
Race 3:
The gloves were off and the damage on full for the final race of the night. 15 laps wasn't a long race with sub 20 second laps but it was action packed. Gut Slab suffered another critical set of hits and finished 22nd. Hamilton was just inside the top 20 but his crew failed to release him from his pit stall, forcing a DNF. The Bear turned some heads with another top ten finish, his sights set on Hamilton's team. GB was having a good run with a shot at the lead and win but got hit at the jump while going for the pass. Tnadz was doing his best to chase down The Egg but there just weren't enough laps left and only just managed 2nd, passing Auburn at the line.
The final round is just a week away and the points are very close. Every team has a mathematical chance at the championship but it will likely come down to a fight between Webster, Egg and Tnadz. But don't discount the final Wildcard which every driver is eligible for. Not to mention that the final round is the every dream-crushing Destruction Arena.
