Well, some got humped and some got dumped. But everyone at least had a moment in the sun. However, many would crack under the pressure or otherwise end up with egg on their face...but not The Egg...on...a face. Uh...
Race 1:
With no damage and 40 laps, the drivers queued up Danger Zone and had at for a good while. Hamilton had some of the worst luck, getting railed seemingly every lap. But he at least managed to just finish ahead of The Egg who survived last place Mad Max (dying of a valve...somehow). Gut Slab also had early struggles, finishing just inside points positions. Tnadz and The Bear weren't much better off after having their lunch handed to them. The Egg may have been involved. GB just managed to press into the top 20, rounding out the lack luster performance of the human types.
Race 2:
Half the laps and Moderate damage changed the balance of things. Gurton Buster fell down the order after sustaining critical damage early on. He went out swinging as he lumbered his dead husk of a car around until the NASCAR gods whisked him away in a black flag for being backwards. Hamilton struggled to find pace and just finished inside of points (and with the diehard award). Tnadz (again with some help from Egg) was dishing out damage but was damaged himself and failing miserably to take anybody down with him by the end. Gut Slab and The Egg turned their Race 1 misfortunes around finishing 15th and 14th respectively. But it was The Bear and Mad Max that made out in the end in terms of position with a 10th and 9th. I mean, they made out in positions...never mind.
Race 3:
The Bear did fall from grace in the final race, dying out and missing points anyway with a 31st. Tnadz sought revenge on The Egg and managed to kill them both while not finishing much higher up. Mad Max was right behind those two after dying fairly quickly. Gurton Buster nearly had a great race but was also taken out and died in 10th. He did manage to take a few with him though. Hamilton wove a careful race and picked his way up to 4th to cash some big points. But it was Gut Slab who grabbed a podium (and nearly 2nd) to reign among the humans.
The points have been thoroughly shaken and stirred and it's a breakout lead for The Egg with Tnadz and Webster not far behind. But it's still anybody's championship to lose. Next week is the penultimate round at the lovable Dover Jump.
