What an incredible round. Massive smashed were the norm and the racing was incredibly close. A true testament to Twisted Metal.
Race 1:
Jamie stole the show, leading nearly all the laps and finishing in style. But it wasn't always smooth sailing, nor was the race guaranteed as he was nearly rolled several times on top of being smashed about on the final 10 laps. This allowed Tnadz to unlap himself and close to within about 8 seconds. But it wasn't enough and he suffered his own issues throughout the race. Webster also finished in the top 5, giving a big boost to Know U 2. Darrel had fallen off early and resorted to Plan B(ash) as had The Bear and others.
Race 2:
With damage on and the laps cut in half to 28, things got more interesting. Tnadz was doing well but had gotten spun about, falling to mid field. He then saw an opportunity as the Hoosiers holding the lead in the closing laps. However, The Egg, seeing his chance at a win, charged to the front. Despite warnings from Tnadz, he held firm to the top spot until he was blasted in the final turns of the final lap. This allowed the Titans to slip on by as Tnadz did his best to block them and Egg at the same time. The top three were within a second of each other. Had the Hoosiers taken the win, I'll Kill You would have had a windfall of points. The Egg, despite a strong second place, was not happy.
Race 3:
Many drivers were out early, including Jamie, Slab (Slab Time), Darrel (DQ Darrel for backwards in the pits) and Tnadz (just dead, but the reason for Jamie's death). This left The Bear, Egg and Zack on track. Zack wasn't much in contention as he dropped from the server but still managed a high placement in the end. The Bear took a 4th, his best finish in the series and keeping the team chances alive. In the end, The Egg had a SECOND opportunity to let the X Factor Seminoles through for the win. This would have launched his team into 2nd in the points, tied with Know U 2 and only 1 point behind the Black Smiths. However, he greedily took the win and his team tied for the boat anchor, jumping well up the order and likely out of contention for a last place launch in future races.
It's now on to Michigan Volcano as the season works through the last few rounds.
