2021-2 Pot Luck Challenge - Round 1: Phillip Island

The first round was 2 races at Phillip Island, presented by Ghee Buttersnaps.  

Race 1:

The first race started rather orderly after the restarts.  At least until Egg and Slab started in on turn 2.

The reign of terror was somewhat short lived as the attacks took their toll.

Having qualified at the front, there was no one to interfere with the battle for first between Egg and GB

Thanks to an erroneous DNQ, Tnadz was pushing up through the field as Slab kept trying to push the field around.

Despite a strong effort from Egg, Jamie took the win and finally broke the curse.

Race 2:

The second race started with The Egg having to let the field by as he failed to not qualify.

The Bear picked through the debris field left by Slab and Egg.

At the front, Zolecki and Tnadz had cleared the field and began their battle for the lead.

Jamie had a decent lead coming to pit road but made the fatal error of missing his pit stall, having to make two transits down pit road.

A bad pit stop for Tnadz, a conservative second stint, allowed JZ to close down the gap, but he needed one more lap to be able to make a proper assault for the win as Tnadz took the win.

Tnadz picks the next track, a throwback from the SCCA days at Lake Afton.
