Pot Luck 17 - R39-40 Silverstone

It was Mark's pick for the week and he of course chose a giant track.  Well, not terribly giant but certainly 2+ minute laps.  Silverstone, the beloved airport track in England (I'm sure it's the only one), was the pick.  Most interestingly, Mark wasn't even there.

Race 1:

Things kicked off with all human racers at the back.

Despite a (second) strong start, Tnadz quickly had things turned around as he got in the grass at Farm and 3.

Gurton Buster was having less issue with the competition and let them know he wasn't messing around.

Gut Slab apparently took a nap for much of the race, letting down his new, temporary sponsors.

Tnadz was catching back up but managed to catch the back of his car on the curb in the esses.

Thankfully, Guga Lima was there to catch him and set things straight.

Which gave Valerio his chance to climb over Tnadz and send him to the fence.

Just up the road at Stowe, Tuka Rocha knocked Sandy Smith into the weeds.

Meanwhile, GB was still working the field and climbing the order despite a sloppy setup.

He even set Max Wilson off course...

...which caused a massive domino crash across the front straight that Scot Myhr managed to weave through.

Tnadz was eventually back on track.  Here he is passing Scot on the RIGHT.

He managed to push hard and eventually catch Buster at Vale and Club for the pass.

Gurton wasn't taking the pass lying down and they came together at Arena.  Despite it being a racing incident, Buster still redressed, almost at his own peril as several competitors came flying up.

A few laps later, Tnadz had trouble at Copse and looped it.

Just in time for Serra to crash into him.  A top 20 was the best he could scrounge.

Buster took things straight to the end and caught Barrichello right at Vale where he got brake checked and checked the famous Brazilian for the lead and the win.

Race 2:

Because of the lackluster finish in Race 1, Tnadz had the pole and shuttled off.

GB had to work through the field and started early with the 117.

He may have also been doing some shuttling of his own at Stowe

Mad Max was doing well early on but had to go evasive when he came up into Buster's mess.

Gut Slab was also doing well in his run when he got hooked into Valerio and looped.

And was blasted by one of the Blau cars.

Just up the road, GB was also in trouble as he came on the 188 and lost it on entry.

A fast-approaching Slab almost had an altercation with the slowed IKEA car.

Instead he held on to get into it with Navarro.

Which caused another large moment on the front stretch that The Bear was able to just weave through.

After several laps, the number 8 was back in the fight.

But, yet again, Tuka Rocha would be a critical element and cause massive frustration.

While he managed to get just outside the top 20, it was a fight all the way to the end of what could have been a great competition between himself and Tnadz.

Mad Max was chasing Sandy for the better part of the race having some amazing laps despite his extreme inexperience with the course.  Sadly, the car would die just before the end.  The Bear managed to make a decent finish in points.

Tnadz stayed mostly out of trouble and took home a win to close the gap on Max Wilson.

With only 4 more picks remaining, The Bear has next choice and went with a demolition track: Humpty Dumpty.  What could go wrong?
