Pot Luck 17 - R44-45 Daytona Road Course

With only a handful of tracks left, the series visits an icon road course in the world of GT racing: Daytona 24 Hour Road Course.  Two races for Darrel's pick and surprisingly no pit stops required.

Race 1:

Things started off with a mulligan but the real start went well with Tnadz leading them off.

Darrel was fighting with the podium spots and was doing well until Barrichello ran him off at turn 5.

He was hit by Serra but the real damage was in position loss.

Gurton Buster was very quickly moving up the field and not taking smack from anyone.

Gut Slab was also working heavily on traffic.

Of course his left overs were much more devastating.

Scot came up on the carnage and slowed down when Darrel got into him.

The Egg didn't even have much of a start as he was penalized at the start and couldn't get it cleared in time.

GB was up to 5th and getting prepared to chase down the top spots when Camilo knocked him around.

Around the same time, Slab went bowling.

Despite the setback, Buster was right back in it and moving up.

He didn't even let females get in his way.

But he must have been distracted by the billboards around the track.

Because he got into one of the Eurofarma cars and spun again.

  

And again, he was knocked about by Camilo after he was clawing back up once more.

He was holding on to a top ten spot when he came upon The Bear who was railing Barrichello at International Horseshoe.

Myhr was running the bus stop when he came into some calamity in front of a hard charging Buster.

Gurton Buster had yet another run on coming to the tri-oval and it was down hill from there.  He managed to stay in the top 20 but it could have easily been a win.

That honor went to Tnadz who ran without issue.

Race 2:

After his dismal Race 1, Buster stuck a pole and quickly moved to separate from the pack and his two pursuers, Egg and Hamilton (sounds like an English breakfast).

However, Hamilton had a moment through the exit of turn one where he went wide off track and was knocked about while trying to re-enter.  Instead he fell back and let the field sort itself out.

Gut Slab had another odd strategy where he pulled off at turn one along the wall and sat for a long portion.

Mad Max was doing well initially when he fell prey to a track quirk that devastated his car.

On the exit of turn 6, there's a bit of wall that sticks out at the safer barrier and what would have been a light graze turned him completed over and out.  The Bear slowed down significantly and still made some contact trying to avoid.

Tnadz was making quick work of the field and was already in the top 10 by the second lap.

Further up the road, Buster was pulling slightly away from The Egg but well within reach.

Suddenly, disaster as Tnadz looped it just before passing for a podium position at international horseshoe.  He'd have to climb all the way back up again.

 Hamilton and The Bear nearly also had a moment at the hairpin as Sandy came back in line right in front of the Dollar General.

After much hard racing, Tnadz finally made it back up to third where he'd finish the race.  He also let Max Wilson know that he never forgot about Oulton Park.

After several laps, Gut Slap rejoined the fray, moving past several DNFed drivers and some who were about to be DNFed.

In the end, GB finished out another win, making up for the previous round and edging him further up the points.

The Egg wasn't far behind despite some moments during the race.

Gut Slab takes the series to an odd classic for the next race at Bristol Motor Speedway.  Only this one is completely in the dirt for three races at lowered damage.
