Shorties RC 2019: 1-2 Norisring

The evening took some time to kick off but we got some pretty entertaining racing once we did.

Race 1:

Several humans started at the front and it was a fight right out of the gate.

As The Egg and Zolecki outpaced Smith, Jamie had a rare moment into the hairpin, damaging his car and forcing a 5th place finish.  Lucky it wasn't worse.

The Egg dominated the field, taking the first win of the season with Ross and Zack filling out the podium.

Race 2:

While Hamilton started on the front row, all other humans took to the back for an exciting run to the hairpin.

And it was.  Darrel was the meat in a Hamilton sandwich while Zolecki was into 4th by the apex, Ross in tow.

In about a lap, Zolecki was in 1st with The Egg 2nd and Hamilton in 3rd when The Egg missed his brake point and straightlined into death and tires.

Smith nearly took out his stablemate, pushing wide through turn four and taking 2nd.

After staying cool through pit stops, Zolecki cruised to his first win with Smith in 2nd. and Webster in 10th after he fell from a potential podium.
