Shorties RC 2019: 3-4 Lakeside

The flowing motorcycle circuit of Lakeside played out as an aggressive, yet, entertaining track.  Lots of chaos and close pack racing to be had.

Race 1:

Probably easier to start with the DNF's from this one.  The Egg was working well up the order when he tangled with David Leslie coming to BP Bend, dying in extraordinary style.

Webster went out only 2 laps into the run after losing grip out of Hungry corner and toppling end over end in similar fashion.

Hamilton was having a fairly decent run and was looking at a well into the top 20 when he had a coming together with Simoni.

Two class B drivers that did make it were Sandy and Scot.  Just at the tip of the top 20 but good points none the less.

Zolecki had his sights on the win but only managed a 3rd after putting in a strong effort from the back of the grid.  Tnadz tried to chase him down but was well in the teens owing to several spins on the first laps.

Race 2:

Another wild race but not nearly as destructive to the humans in the field.  Hamilton managed a 5th place finish with Zolecki, Smith and The Egg filling out the podium.  The Egg managed to hold out a 7 second lead for pretty much the whole race for a relatively easy win.  Mad Max and The Bear just finished outside of points.

On to a slightly less roller coaster track and a more technical circuit (but still very Australian): Calder Park
