Race 1:
Good qualifying for the humans set them mostly at the front of the field for some fast and frantic action off the line.
Webster got the short end of the stick and fought a tight truck on take off, sending him tumbling down the order.
He then made contact with Nick White off of two and it went downhill from there.
Hamilton was in it somewhat and Sandy Smith watched as some trucks turtled their way down the backstretch.
The fight for second behind Riggleman was epic, right to the line.
After the restart, Mad Max got hip checked by Pab.
After coming off the wall, Bear tried to catch him, but it wasn't successful.
While the ice cream kept flowing, Myhr struggled to find purchase and careened right into Zack for his second run of bad luck.
And there wasn't even a yellow flag. Which Egg could have used because the field was packed 4-wide behind him.
A few laps more and the leaders caught up to Scot who was in poor position coming out of turn four.
As he came down the track, Riggleman and Tnadz dove low to avoid.
The 26 caught the apron and whipped back up the track.
Gurton Buster also got into Mad Max while Mark was Tidal Waved.
Funny enough, GB and MM made contact again on the apron.
Sandy, not to be outdone, also slammed into the 29.
The next restart, Darrel also had a run in with Pab that sent him to the wall.
On the rebound he found, who else, the Webster.
Zack took the Flop and the Cry-me-a-River card right into the wall.
The Egg had an exciting run back to the line as the field was again 4-wide behind.
This time, it wouldn't end as well as they slowed for the pace car. Paul Jones took a spin but actually didn't really hit anything.
The final restart and it was an exciting race as Egg made the pass on Buster for 2nd.
The Strongbow truck was fairly good on the outside but eventually had to fold as it stepped out and got into Hillesheim.
He continued to roulette down the backstretch, going through more positions than an escort on a tradeshow weekend.
Finally, Zack found lady luck at the end and managed to salvage what was left of his race.
The race to the white flag (and final competition lap) was fraught with danger as more drivers cashed in their chips just before the end of the race.
The Egg was neck and neck with Mark Willis for 2nd but came up short by a nose.
Tnadz took the jackpot for the sprint, slow riding with the pace car.
Race 2:
From 27 laps to a 54 endurance, the field was sandwiched with humans.
GB was on a roll and wagered he could make a pass for the lead.
Back in the pack, Willis was getting impatient with his tablemates and tapped the Firefox ride.
You could have bet it wouldn't end well with Stevens taking the brunt.
Webster also had a wipeout of his own coming back to the line.
Buster took the lead as Tnadz slipped back behind Riggleman and Egg.
Immediately after the caution finished, Hamilton was getting spun by Willis as he came away from the wall a little too quickly. He just didn't know when to hold 'em.
Coming to the line, Tnadz took a gamble up the inside but nearly undid his 3-car run by going too low.
Darrel barely beat the odds while changing tires and getting fuel but managed to just eek out ahead of the pace car.
Another restart and immediately an internet flux caused problems for the Webster. He's probably starting to think the deck's stacked against him at this point.
While it was probably too early for stops, half the field decided to come in for insurance.
On the next restart, it was a full house in the pack with Webster again in the middle.
Another slight of hand from the internet tunneling seemed to throw Anthony Hawkins out.
He, in turn, came down and collected the 23. Darrel only just beat this pair by staying high and out of the way.
Again, nothing but craps for Zack.
Racing to the caution, GB thought Tnadz said "Hit Me" as he glanced the wall and he tapped him out of the way. No harm done on this one though.
The leaders didn't think it was a big risk but the odds were not in their favor as the whole house passed them by.
Immediately after the restart, Hamilton got caught on White for the second time in the night and the two spun low and then high.
The field became a royal flush.
Egg tried a low line but was swept up by Lee and plunged right into the fray.
Mark bet on black and stayed, waiting to see how things would shake out.
Fortune smiled upon him as a hole opened up.
Zack was also able to turn the tables a bit and came out shaky but ahead of Gruber.
The big winner was The Bear who played his cards close to the chest by staying low.
Coming back to get some repairs, Hamilton completely missed his pits.
He then threw it in reverse.
After going about 5 stalls backwards, the security escorted him from the building.
All humans at the front and it would be a nail biter to see who could make it on fuel and come out on top.
Scot thought the green flag was a bluff and didn't go which caused a panic behind him.
Tnadz checked up badly and then moved low to try and avoid trucks from the outside.
But it was bad timing and Webster's internet blipped causing the two to collide.
In very unusual ways.
Mark was also pokered from behind as they all stacked up.
Webster would barely make it through with heavy damage but it would be Tnadz who would have to color up for this race.
There was even more wrecking to be had behind...
But Sandy had another trick up his sleeve...actually it was his ace-in-the-hole of going low and slow.
On the next start, Buster was leading for a few laps when he was challenged from behind.
And that became a blatant hip check, ruining his chances for a good finish.
It was now The Bear and Riggleman heading it up the human front.
After some spotty attempts, Mark called it and made his move.
But with about 10 to go, it wasn't over by a long shot. Scot and Anthony Hawkins ran out of realestate and managed to keep going but in worse condition.
Riggleman was in the pocket with his eyes on the prize. Could the long game come back to him?
While oddly running the apron, Buster looped it about half a track away from the leaders.
Riggleman was all in for the win and making passes until a small setback lost him some speed.
And that's when Casula turned him.
While under yellow, they had a discussion.
Seeing this, Mad Max also started a conversation with one of his bumper buddies.
And then that carried over to another truck that came back into Egg.
He kindly asked Myhr to stop.
Smith was on fire and split the deck with a couple laps left.
Things turned in everyone's favor as several drivers came in on the very last lap for fuel.
While not for position, GB made a last ditch effort to stay in front of these guys.
In the end, it would be The Bear who came out ahead with a massive position gain from the back to 8th. That's definitely a blackjack for the 21.
The series shifts gears a little as it heads to the tiny turns of Martinsville for a rare day race.
