Camping British Truck Series 2018

We've finally made it to the next series.  By comparison, this one will be quite a bit shorter with 46 rounds at 23 tracks.  It's an odd mixture of the British Pickup Truck Racing series trucks running on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule.  Because NASCAR has done everything it can to ruin racing, we will be running a modified version of their race layout, points and stage system.  There will be no playoffs because that's just overly complex anymore and we don't need to invest in that kind of crap.

Drop Races: 16 races will be considered Drop Races, not counting towards a driver's final score.  These will be automatically selected by Score4.  Missed races will be counted as Drop Races.

Rules:

  • Mulligans (Restarts): If there's a caution before the leader completes the first lap, the race is restarted, once.  With cautions off, a mulligan will only be granted if a driver requests it, regardless of circumstances but only if requested before the leader completes first lap.  Technical issues will not count against mulligans.
  • Flags: All are observed.  Technical issues/special circumstances, black flags may be cleared.
  • Track Limits: Passes may be made using any part of the track if they do not result in a racing incident or cut the course. Passing "Below the yellow line" is also acceptable.
  • Racing Incidents: They happen but deliberate contact (divebombing, etc.) is not allowed.  If you gain advantage from contact, you may be asked to redress (allow the car to pass).  Failure to do so could result in timed and/or points penalties.
  • Appeals: Race director decisions are final during the race.  Appeals may be made post-race.
  • Jr/France Rule: Rules may be amended at any point  for purposes of competition.
  • No Whining: Whining will be met with a swift "too bad".

Penalties:

  • Misconduct will be considered case by case.
  • Most incidents will be given a verbal warning where witnessed.
  • Severe or repeat infractions will result in timed penalties consistent with conduct.
  • Drivers may be removed from the active race if conduct is persistently abusive.
  • Extreme misconduct on or off the track may result in a banning from the series/league.
